Order No. 374: interim minimum wage rates from 1 April 2026
An interim order, made after the labour unrest in Noida and Greater Noida, setting basic wage plus VDA for three categories of districts. It replaces the Labour Commissioner's order of 25 March 2026, except for piece-rated brick kilns.

A state levy that employers deduct from salaries and pay to the state, at the slabs of the state where the employee works.
Not levied on salaries
Uttar Pradesh does not levy Professional Tax on salaries, so there is nothing to deduct for staff working here.
Labour Welfare Fund
Labour Welfare Fund in Uttar Pradesh
A small contribution from employees and employers to the state's welfare board, paid in the months the state's Act names.
